    Ivy McNally's last visit to Welcome Home Hotel in Longreach

    In August 1997 at age of 93,a prominent lady and former publican of Welcome Home Hotel for record breaking fifty years, paid homage to her former home and working place.Mrs.McNally was very well known for her Melbourne Cup Sweeps all around Australia.After retiring from public life in 1984,Mrs.McNally was still very active in horse racing industry.She still holds a record as a longest serving female Publican in Australia.With Mrs.McNally(seated)are from left to right:Sid Stormoth,Coral Williams,Mrs.Rayment and current Publican Harry Vrbanic.
