Front view St Matthew's..Foundation stone: In the name of the Holy and Undivided Trinity this foundation stone was laid by the Right Reverend W.T.T. Webber Lord Bishop of Brisbane on Monday 16th day of August 1886 in dedication of the church to St Matthew. Matthew Sheppard and Henry Clark church wardens. Contractors J.H. Scott and co. Architect James Marks.
