The Queensland Steam Roller Mills operated by Charles Hayes & Co., was purchased on 1 January 1891 and profitably operated by the Warwick Farmers' Milling Company. Although four farmers invested in this mill and served on the directorate, the directorate was a mixture of business people, including two storekeepers, a grazier, a publican and a cordial manufacturer.
