The Maryborough War Memorial was erected on 19 November 1921 at a cost of £2,300. It is the only war memorial in Queensland to include a winged, victory angel in the design. The mason was Anselm Odling (Sydney and Carrara, Italy) in conjunction with P. O. E. Hawkes, Maryborough. It is situated in Queen's Park on Bazaar and Sussex Streets (Information taken from: K.
