Railmotor RM80, named Endeavour, operated on the Cooktown Railway between 1929 and 1944. Its power unit was a 45 horse power AEC petrol motor. (Description supplied with photograph)

'Lynx42' adds "This rail motor was as stated powered by an AEC engine but was actually an Associated Daimler chassis. AEC and Daimler formed a short partnership and built vehicles for only about 18 months."
