Elevated view of Queen's Park from the Executive building. Queen Victoria's statue stands in the foreground overlooking people relaxing on the lawn below. The statue was unveiled by Lord Chelmsford on 23 June, 1906. Field guns were located in the park either side of the Queen Victoria memorial, commemorating Queensland's participation in the South African War of 1899-1902.
