Brisbane's Story Bridge, 1940

This 281 metre cantilever truss bridge was constructed by Evans Deakin - Hornibrook Pty. Ltd. Building began in May 1935 and the bridge opened on the 6th July 1940. The premises of Evans Anderson Phelan Pty. Ltd. Engineers at Kangaroo Point, are visible on the right. The New Farm cliffs can be seen in the background.
