Newport Power Station

The coal tippler at the old Newport Power station turned railway trucks of brown coal, and later briquettes upside down to empty them for burning in the boilers. The above mentioned fuel was brought from the Latrobe valley from about 100 miles away. This picture was taken after the power station had closed down.
