Broke Road
contributed by Leonie, taken on 12 May 2013
(contact Leonie about this picture)

Just on the outskirts of Broke is 'Millhole Bridge' this name came from an mill that once stood nearby. The creek name of 'Monkey Place' origins come from the first settlers when they had mistaken koalas for monkeys. The creek is one of the many that feed run off water to Wollombi Brook. On the other side of the bridge is a left hand turn onto Charlton Rd. this takes you through to the Putty Rd. it is a tar road. Charlton Rd is part of the Old Convict Trail.
