The Niemur River in southwest New South Wales starts near Barratta Woolshed at an elevation of 91.7m and ends at an elevation of 62.9m merging with the Wakool River.

The Niemur River drops around 28.8m over its 155km length.

The following creeks and rivers flow into the Niemur River: Colligen Creek, Jawbone Creek, Middle Creek, Cooyeo Creek and Taylors Creek.
