The Fitzroy River in northeast Western Australia starts at an elevation of 486m and flows into the Indian Ocean.

The Fitzroy River drops around 487m over its 656km length.

The Fitzroy River flows through Alligator Pool (116m), Broken Wagon Pool (20m), Chestnut Pool (20m), Tumblegoodine Pool (12m), Jarrananga Pool (6m) and flows into Snag Pool (6m).
