River Dee in central Tasmania starts below Mud Hills at an elevation of 668m and ends at an elevation of 87.5m flowing into the River Derwent.

The River Dee drops around 580m over its 32.8km length.

The River Dee flows through Dee Lagoon (657m) on its way to joining the River Derwent.

The following creeks and rivers flow into the River Dee: Mentmore Creek and Duck Rivulet.
