The Pine River in central Tasmania starts below Great Pine Tier at an elevation of 1060m and ends at an elevation of 674m merging with the Nive River.

The Pine River drops around 383m over its 27.8km length.

The Pine River flows through Lake Antimony (1056m) and flows into Pine Tier Lagoon (673m) on its way to joining the Nive River.

The Little Pine River flows into the Pine River.
