The Coliban River in central Victoria starts below Little Hampton at an elevation of 701m and ends at an elevation of 183m merging with the Campaspe River.
The Coliban River drops around 518m over its 89.3km length.
The Coliban River flows through Upper Coliban Reservoir (519m), Lauriston Reservoir (479m), Malmsbury Reservoir (448m) and Lake Eppalock (206m) on its way to joining the Campaspe River.
