The Swan River in east Tasmania starts near Mount St John at an elevation of 740m and flows into Kings Bay in the Tasman Sea of the South Pacific Ocean.

The Swan River drops around 742m over its 57.6km length.

The Swan River flows through Great Swanport (0m) and flows into King Bay (-1m).

6 creeks and rivers flow into the Swan River. The five longest tributaries are: West Swan River, Wye River, Cygnet River, Bluemans Creek and Freestone Creek - click here for a full list of all 6 tributaries of the Swan River.
