Cotter Dam
Cotter River A White-faced Heron on the stretch of the Cotter just below the bridge.

There is a large picnic area just below the Cotter Dam wall with toilets, drinking water, barbecues, tables and a children's playground. There are walks along the river as well as up the hillside to the south of the dam from where you can look down on to the dam. The picnic area is glorious in autumn when the leaves of the many poplars turn yellow. Boating is not possible. Canoeing may be possible when the Cotter River is flowing.
