The Elizabeth River in east Tasmania starts below Lake Leake at an elevation of 580m and ends at an elevation of 171m merging with the Macquarie River.

The Elizabeth River drops around 410m over its 59.6km length.

The Elizabeth River flows through Lake Leake (573m) on its way to joining the Macquarie River.

The following creeks and rivers flow into the Elizabeth River: Snowy River, Hortons Creek, Pinnacles Creek, Wolfs Craig Creek and Hurricane Marsh Creek.
