The Dee River in southeast Queensland starts near Mount Gavial at an elevation of 454m and ends at an elevation of 96.3m merging with the Don River.

The Dee River drops around 357m over its 96.7km length.

The Dee River flows into Lake Caroline (103m) on its way to joining the Don River.
