The Salmond River in northeast Western Australia starts at an elevation of 588m and ends at an elevation of 16.3m merging with the Pentecost River.

The Salmond River drops around 572m over its 199km length.

The following creeks and rivers flow into the Salmond River: Horse Creek, Grimwood Creek, Ullinger River, Patsy Creek and Paradise Creek.
