The Mackenzie River in southeast Queensland starts at an elevation of 101m and ends at an elevation of 46.5m merging with the Fitzroy River.

The Mackenzie River drops around 54.6m over its 290km length.

The Mackenzie River flows through Lake Mary (92m) on its way to joining the Fitzroy River.

14 creeks and rivers flow into the Mackenzie River. The five longest tributaries are: Isaac River, Springton Creek, Apis Creek, Sixteen Mile Creek and Leura Creek - click here for a full list of all 14 tributaries of the Mackenzie River.
