The Ashburton River in west Western Australia starts at an elevation of 571m and flows into the Indian Ocean.

The Ashburton River drops around 572m over its 825km length.

The Ashburton River flows through Mooline Pool (209m), Kooline Pool (183m), Barliyunnu Pool (126m), Cobbler Pool (116m) and Boolaloo Pool (113m).
