You'll find the locality of Savage River on the Mount Road nestled amongst mountains such as Mount Youngbuck (599m) and Mount Meredith (784m) in northwest Tasmania. Savage River is about 230km northwest of Hobart (show me). Savage River is at an elevation of approximately 356m above sea level. Savage River is one of the westernmost localities in Tasmania.

Savage River is on the Heazlewood River.
