Mount Magnet is located on the Mount Magnet Sandstone Road in southwest Western Australia a distance of about 470km north-northeast from Perth (show me). Mount Magnet has a population of around 890 and is one of the smaller towns in Australia. Mount Magnet is at an altitude of about 429m above sea level. The nearest ocean is the Indian Ocean about 310km west-southwest of Mount Magnet.

Mount Magnet is on the Barimaia Creek.
