The Loddon River in west Victoria starts below Musk at an elevation of 638m and ends at an elevation of 71.1m merging with the Little Murray River.

The Loddon River drops around 567m over its 361km length.

The Loddon River flows through Cairn Curran Reservoir (202m) and Laanecoorie Reservoir (171m) on its way to joining the Little Murray River.

19 creeks and rivers flow into the Loddon River. The five longest tributaries are: Bet Bet Creek, Tullaroop Creek, Bannacher Creek, Joyces Creek and Serpentine Creek - click here for a full list of all 19 tributaries of the Loddon River.
