The Wimmera River in west Victoria starts below Elmhurst at an elevation of 299m and ends at an elevation of 79.2m flowing into the Outlet Creek.

The Wimmera River drops around 220m over its 278km length.

14 creeks and rivers flow into the Wimmera River. The five longest tributaries are: Mackenzie River, Mount William Creek, Norton Creek, Concongella Creek and Seven Mile Creek - click here for a full list of all 14 tributaries of the Wimmera River.
