Elanora is located in southeast Queensland and has a population of around 12,000 (48.2% male, 51.8% female). Around 3398 families live in the area and of those 38.5% have one or more children under the age of 15. 16.2% of families have only a single parent while 38.6% of couples have no children. Elanora covers an area of approximately 888 hectares (2193 acres).
