Oberon is a town on the Duckmaloi Road in east New South Wales, Australia situated about 130km west of Sydney (show me). Oberon has a population of around 2,500 and is a medium sized town for Australia. At about 1103m above sea level, Oberon is the sixth highest town in New South Wales. The nearest sea is the Tasman Sea which is part of the South Pacific Ocean about 120km east-southeast of Oberon.

Oberon is just off the Fish River.

The nearest more populous place is the city of Lithgow which is 36km away with a population of around 11,000 (show me a map with Oberon and Lithgow).

Oberon is on the intersection of the Duckmaloi Road, the Edith Road and the Oberon Goulburn Road.
