Stanthorpe on the Stanthorpe Connection Road in Queensland is a town about 170km southwest of Brisbane (show me). Stanthorpe has a population of around 4,200 and is a medium sized town for Australia. At about 798m above sea level, Stanthorpe is one of the higher towns in Queensland. It is also one of the southernmost towns in Queensland. The nearest sea is the Coral Sea which is part of the South Pacific Ocean about 150km east-southeast of Stanthorpe.

Stanthorpe is on the Quart Pot Creek.
