Trams and horsedrawn vehicles on the second permanent Victoria Bridge, Brisbane. The bridge officially opened on 22 June, 1887. Some buildings, businesses and houses of South Brisbane can be seen in the distance across the river.

The second permanent Victoria Bridge was officially opened on 22 June 1897, and stood until replaced by the third permanent bridge in 1969. This photograph was taken from the banks of the Brisbane River at South Brisbane, looking north towards the city. The archway at the southern end of the bridge was retained when the bridge was demolished. The Waterstown Brick, Tile & Pottery Company is visible at the bottom of the image.
