Sprent is located just off the Castra Road in north Tasmania a distance of about 200km north-northwest from Hobart (show me). Sprent is at an elevation of approximately 271m above sea level. The nearest ocean is the Southern Ocean about 110km southwest of Sprent.

Sprent is on the Claytons Rivulet.

The nearest more populous place is the village of Gawler which is 9km away with a population of around 250 (show me a map with Sprent and Gawler).
