Quiet hot December day. As the town is off the main highways ( it's sits between the Snow Road coming from Milawa and the Hume freeway and the Alpine Road coming in from Wangaratta) it gets little through traffic. But the short detour ( literally 5 minutes from either) is well worth it.

Picture of / about 'Whorouly' Victoria - Devonshire tea from the 2 Cooks Cafe.4 - Devonshire tea from the 2 Cooks Cafe. (Contributed by: 6andy6  105 pictures  )
On a steamy hot day the cafe, which is off the main roads (the Snow Road and the Alpine Road/ Highway from Wangaratta) is well worth a break to relax and recharge. Note: no credit card or eftpos facilities available.

Picture of / about 'Whorouly' Victoria - The 2 Cooks cafe - apart from the pub/general store the only other business in main street5 - The 2 Cooks cafe - apart from the pub/general store the only other business in main street (Contributed by: 6andy6  105 pictures  )
The 2 Cooks cafe has become renowned for good quality locally sourced food. Operated by 2 ladies whose previous business was destroyed in the Black Saturday bush fires around Marysville, they have added colour and life to a quiet town that is off the main roads to Bright and the snowfields ( the township sits between the Snow Road and the Alpine road/Highway and cannot be seen from either but is well worth the short detour for either the cafe or characterful pub).
