Canoe/kayak fishing (29 July 2012)

I have been fishing pejar for 25 years or more, and rarely gone home without a feed,i still have my first baltic minnow purchased from Ken Appel Caringbah 30 years ago.I have seen its highs and lows, times when the algae level was too high to fish .I myself prefer to use whatever legal bait is available, worms etc and at times a lure from the bank on the top end of the lake.Almost every trip there have been canoes, kayaks and on one occasion a group of fishos from canberra wagging work were using float tubes,a good method but ive seen too many tiger snakes in the water chasing frogs to say it was a comfortable method.I stay away from pejar on long weekends,a weekend before to escape the others or the weekend after to pick up what the others leave behind, some good finds, scoop nets, fly boxes, tackle boxes, knives ,fishing glasses, rod holders, and all the rest. That doesnt mention the mess some inconsiderate fools leave behind at their fire site, used babies nappies included.I hope to have a canoe on my next trip to try something different.
