Tietkens Well Teitkens Well, Maralinga, SA.  Brackish water.

Tietken attempted to settle at Maralinga unsuccessfully in the 1870s . There are also remains of a homestead he built nearby. The water is described as brackish, hence undrinkable. The surrounding dessert is totally unsuitable for permanent habitation. Only attempt to visit after taking advice and precautions.
