Powters Quarry Bert Powter -- Carrier Business- out side his home in Parkes with the Truck used by Bert and His Brother Norman, They would deliver the lime mined to brick works etc. they would also be on hand for wood, hay wheat and any delivers in the area.

The Quarry supplied builders lime rock to the builders of the the Parkes Telescope. Church of England Parkes, and the local RSL. Also the Mcglynns and Howards Stores in Parkes. Information from The Powter Family.
